I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted a blog. Forgive me?
Life has a tendency to get in the way of the computer. So let me catch you all up. Late August and Early September were filled with many mundane days of cleaning house, cooking dinner and generally taking care of myself. Not much time for art nor energy to create. Mid-September I prepared for a little sojourn to Vegas with my hubby to play in a Hold-Em tournament. I made it to the final table and shared in a prized package which the remaining 9 players agreed to split evenly. I also made a killing at the BJ tables so we left Vegas with more money than we arrived and a nasty throat/nose cold as the icing on the cake.
The cold took me down for nearly 2 weeks, which was then followed by vast and hasty preparations for our local Pagan Pride Day on October 1oth.
Last weekend's email brought horrible news- My mother wrote to inform me that my Dad was in the hospital with an unknown infection, fever and general unhealthiness - so I spent the better part of my days last week worrying bout Dad and trying to prepare art for my show.
Well, Dad is out of the hospital but not out of the woods. Thanks to a friend who spent her evenings helping in the studio, I was able to get alot of art prepared for PPD.
Yesterday, we set up at Phoenix College for PPD and had a blast!!!! Sales were phenomenal and we met alot of new folks. Words of ooohs, ahhhhs, and encouragement lead me to firmly beleive I am on the right path with my art!!
I will post pics of the show as soon as I can locate my camera!!
I am off today to relax with an evening game of poker in our local TOC in hopes of winning a seat to the National TOC sponsored by our poker club.
Til next time, may all your dreams be vivid, may all your love be special and may all your cards be live!!!
