Faerie Frolic Spring Fling Upon Us

As I sit here this morning planning my production day I am faced with the dubious task of having everything ready in 2 days for my first show of the season.
Nearly everything is complete, and orders for new product are being completed.
I am so excited for the show.  Should be a good time.

A New Booth

Robert and I spent the weekend working on the new booth layout.  I took some initial pics.  This is a rather incomplete booth, as I was simply working on the hardware layout.  It took us nearly 4 hours to work out the kinks and get the booth to this point.  Lots of tweaks but I am certain the booth is going to look smashing at my first show of the season!!

Two New Shows added to our Schedule

Just in time ... we have added our first two shows to the 2011 line-up!!

Our first will be in Gilbert AZ on March 19th - The Spring Fling Faerie Frolic.  The one day event is open to the public and free to attend.  Opens at 10am and runs til 7 pm

Our second show on the schedule is a 3 day renaissance faire in Pinetop, AZ located in the White Mountains near the town of ShowLow!  Medieval Mayhem opens on Friday July 8 and runs through Sunday the 10th.  Admission fee of 10.00.  Lots of great entertainment, mayhem and vendors.  Look for our 10x20' booth.

Nearly Whole Again!!

It's been a long, cold winter here in Arizona.  Yes, it does get cold here.  And with the recovery process slow and steady, I have had time to think about the creations I want to start with this spring. I have been cleared by my surgeon, after he had to go back in and do a manipulation.  My shoulder had started to freeze and inhibit the healing process.  

With my first art show in less than a months time I am excited to get back to work.  During January I revamped my entire booth, taking some much needed time to create an inviting, sophisticated and creative booth to showcase the Spirit Rosaries©, Gaia Tiles©, Magick Magnets© and Celtic Coasters© I am now offering.  I am also presenting a new jewelry line at the Faerie Frolic in Gilbert on March 19th!!  I am calling them Celtic Wishing Stones©.  They are made from natural stone donuts and magickal charms.  They are simple yet elegant and will be a huge hit!!  Look for pics soon.

Nearing Years End

It has been a summer, fall and now winter of huge change, growth and elation.
I spent most of the summer enjoying a new relationship with a wonderful man, which has now continued to grow into a full time life together.

Robert took me to my first NFL game to see our boys, Oakland Raiders! It was great!


I participated in many shows over the early autumn months including Phoenix Pagan Pride Day at Phoenix College in early October!

In early November, I underwent corrective surgery on my right shoulder. It turned out I had two tears which had begun to inhibit my ability to create anything with pain! My ortho surgeon placed 3 screws in the upper Glenoid of my right shoulder to correct a SLAP and Bankart Lesion tears. So I have now begun the recovery process. And while I can type with both hands now, it is a stretch to do so.

Creativity as Healing

As many of you know, I am now single. After 10 years, I found myself with lots of healing. My creativity felt stifled. I could see where I wanted to be, just not able to pull myself out of the funk and get on the road of my journey.
Yesterday I spoke with 2 spiritual women in my life, women I love and respect. Both of them said, with resounding similarity, that the healing is in the creating. Wow!! I had never wanted to create spiritual pieces while in turmoil. This concept of utilizing the creative juices to move beyond the pain isn't a new idea and certainly not one that I have not been aware. Just forgot I knew how!!
So, yesterday, I cleared the floor of the last of my unpacking in the studio. After which, I sat at my beading table and began to work, and man did I work. I have several new Triple Goddess rosaries to show for it. I will be shooting them and posting them at my Etsy shop shortly.
It felt good, I feel rejuvenated and hopeful. As if the Universe and the Goddess are breathing a sigh of relief, for I finally got it!!

As of January 18, 2010 I became single. The love of my life decided he wanted to live without me, so he asked for a divorce. After 10 years I found myself lost, alone and fearful of the road ahead. This photo is one taken of my new living room entry, of my new small home without my husband. While I understand the path which lead me here, I am (was) not necessarily without pain, anguish and fear. So, in order to move forward, I created my new home with hope, care and thoughtfulness. In this understanding, I believed that one day (hopefully soon) I would come to feel strong and fearless as I did when I was married and not facing the world alone.
